Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 23 May 2026
This Accessibility Statement applies to the MHSA Summer Fair website at https://summerfair.mhsa.charity/.
MHSA wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website. We aim to make the site clear, simple and accessible for parents, carers, volunteers, supporters and visitors.
1. Our accessibility aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2, level AA, where reasonably possible for this website.
This means users should be able to:
- navigate the site using a keyboard
- use the site with screen readers and assistive technology
- zoom in without text becoming unreadable
- read text with suitable colour contrast
- understand links, buttons and headings
- access key information without relying only on images, colour or layout
2. What we have done
The website should be built to include:
- clear page structure and headings
- a skip-to-content link
- descriptive links and buttons
- alternative text for meaningful images
- readable text sizes
- responsive layouts for mobile, tablet and desktop
- simple language where possible
- keyboard-accessible navigation
- visible focus states
- reduced-motion support where animation or smooth scrolling is used
3. Known limitations
Some parts of the user journey may involve third-party services that are not fully controlled by MHSA, including:
- SumUp payment pages or payment flows
- PayPal donation or payment pages
- online forms used for volunteers, stalls, prizes, sponsorship or contact
- social media embeds
- sponsor websites reached through outbound links
- uploaded documents, if documents are added later
MHSA will try to choose accessible services and fix issues where reasonably possible.
4. Feedback and contact
If you find any accessibility problem on the website, or need information in another format, please contact us:
Email: contact@mhsa.charity
Please include:
- the page address
- what you were trying to do
- what went wrong
- the device, browser or assistive technology you were using, if relevant
MHSA will review the issue and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Ongoing improvements
MHSA will continue to review the website as the Summer Fair content develops, especially ticket booking, forms, donations and event information.
